Phoenix, AZ

As a new project in downtown Phoenix a complete scope of services was provided. This included reviewing architectural design, mechanical systems and conducting an environmental noise evaluation.

When attempting to achieve the sound isolation performance as designed, the details must not be overlooked. The acoustic performance of partitions is sacrificed with flanking paths and air leaks. Often conditions at the mullion need to be address to maintain performance with projects which employ curtain wall systems.

We worked closely with the design team and the curtain wall manufacturer to develop solutions that will not only perform but were also cost effective. Shop drawings were reviewed in our office and recommendations given to increase the mass of the mullion provided.
