Using Measurements and Modeling Predictions to Design within Vibration Tolerances

Reducing and preventing vibration problems during the design phase has increased in emphasis. Vibration from mechanical equipment, among other sources, can cause serious problems. Vibration off of a floor system, such as from parking garages and construction activities, can disrupt upper floors. Our goal is to provide recommendations to design facilities which house vibration-sensitive instruments and tools to be within the accepted Vibration Criteria (VC) curves and ISO standards for human exposure.

Amgen-Helix Campus

We are ideally involved with a project from the early stages of design in order to achieve the best results. In the early stages, there are opportunities to make cost-effective design choices which are beneficial from a vibration standpoint.

We have extensive experience conducting advanced vibration analysis, and understand the complexity and sensitivity of these projects. Our recent projects include Boeing Metrology Labs, the Amgen Immunex Helix Project, and University of Washington Cognitive Research Labs.  We have invested in our own state-of-the-art equipment, which allows our assessments to be accurate and cost-effective. We make recommendations to control vibration in both existing buildings and proposed construction based on measurements and modeling predictions.
